Mathylisothiazolinone - in Shampoo - Allergy

I had it bad, and my mother did too. It flared up even worse with stress. Then a good friend of mine got it. He is a paramedic and is dogged with problems like this. He tracked it down to an allergic reaction to methylisothiazolinone in shampoo. I was using Head & Shoulders, and he was using Selsun Blue. This chemical is present in about 80 percent of shampoos. I switched to, of all things, Alberto VO5 (which does not have it), and the eczema went away. . . .
